Brieda Cabins invests in the scientific research and development of new products to satisfy the requirements of a market, always more attentive to the operator’s wellbeing and health.

Brieda Cabins with ErgoCertInternational Accredited Body for the Certification of the ergonomics features in the professional and consumer products, processes and services – has developed and successfully completed a program of biomechanical studies on the control station’s operator, started over 10 years ago in cooperation with EPM – Research Unit-Ergonomics Department of Biomedical Technology at the University of Milan.

Everyday’s operator muscular stresses have been recorded with technical measurements made with electrodes and integrated sensors, documented with medical reports and video footage.

The setting up of biomechanical analysis.

The outcomes have highlighted the need to redesign the interface devices, thinking of new solutions, as in the use of the joystick, able to reduce the biomechanical stress and make the work less tiring. Less tensions and fatigue facilitate more precision in everyday operations and therefore increase general safety.

The instrumental evaluations involved 4 possible users, selected on the basis of stature and sex.
In the instrumental evaluation, the inertial system of movement analysis MVN Biomech Awinda (X-sens – NL) was used.
