The considerable increase of remote control in the port cranes requires a workstation designed and developed to limit the possible biomechanical overload of the operators who have to operate the containers in the terminals and to increase their cognitive efficiency.

Brieda Cabins has led an in-depth medical research and design validation, providing their products with electrical adjustments that allow the workstations to comply with the anthropometric needs of 90% of the population. Furthermore, with an innovative layout of the controls, the workstation enables to improve the operator’s ability to concentrate and therefore increase the level of operational safety in the terminals.

This strategic innovation has made it possible to qualify for the ErgoCert ergonomic conformity certification, based on the main international EN ISO ergonomics standards.

The Remote Control Desk design allows the operators to keep a comfortable and relaxed position while  working. Increased  comfort means more attention  and, as a consequence, increased safety.

Brieda’s Remote Control Desk is manufactured with operator’s comfort as first priority.

The controls layout, fully customizable, reduces the movements of shoulder , elbow and wrist , limiting the arising of muscular-tendinous  pathologies.

Both the remote desk plane and the screens can be electrically height adjusted , to adapt to the operator needs and allow to keep an excellent visual field with minimum head movements.  The  monitors can also be configured according to the user’s requirements.

The remote desk is mounted on special lockable rollwheels  making its movement easier.

More remote desks can be placed closer one to the other with connection modules.
